The Distance Learning Board met only a
few times due to changes in the structure of Instructional
Technology Services. Recommendations of the Distance Learning
Board and outside influences led to:
The funding of incentives, for faculty, to develop online courses and
to participate in video-conference courses. Courses delivered
via video-conferencing to/from the main Sarasota-Manatee campus to/from the
South County campus began in Summer 2008. Special Education
and Information Technology faculty expanded their use of Elluminate.
The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, the College of
Education, and the College of Arts and Sciences added to the number
of online courses offered by USF SM. Future plans include
online courses in Criminology in 2008-09. |
